Questions and answers on the new BPA ban regulation

The new BPA ban regulation (EU 2024/3190).

A questions and answers document – prepared by the Watercoolers Europe Standards & Technical Committee – on the new European Union regulation regarding the BPA ban is now available for WE members.

This document was carefully prepared and reviewed with the participation of Alex Mezquida, WE Chair of the Standards & Technical Committee and Dr. Antonio Borrell Azlor, Vice-Chair of the Committee, due to significant changes in the final Regulation 2024/3190 compared to the earlier draft.

Under the new Regulation, products containing BPA may remain on the market until 20th January 2029 at the latest, except for polysulfones and epoxy resins.
