Wenlock Spring Joins the Natural Hydration Council

February 16, 2012

Wenlock Spring recently passed the British Water Cooler Association (BWCA) audit with flying colours and announced it membership of the Natural Hydration Council (NHC). With this in mind,  2012 is already turning out to be an exciting year for the  company.

The Natural Hydration Council and Wenlock Spring  announced in January that the bottled water company has joined the industry organisation. This means that the NHC now represents nine producers and twenty-four brands.

The Natural Hydration Council promotes health, environmental  and other sustainable benefits of naturally sourced water, such as  Wenlock Spring. The organisation aims  to help consumers make informed decisions about  hydration in their diet.

"Wenlock Spring is pleased to be supporting the exceptional work of the Natural Hydration Council. As a bottled water company, we are dedicated to promoting the health benefits of sipping water throughout the day to stay hydrated and feeling fresh”, said Matthew Orme, Director of Wenlock Spring.  “Through our support of the NHC we are helping to educate and inform. The NHC provides us with a valuable resource to answer customer questions and to provide scientific information and expertise," he continued.

For its part, the NHC  General Manager Kinvara Carey stated: "We are delighted to welcome Wenlock Spring as a member of the NHC and look forward to working with them this year. Bottled water companies have an important role to play in highlighting the benefits that good hydration habits can have in supporting a healthy lifestyle. By providing one consistent voice we can ensure that their positive messages are heard."

Wenlock Spring also succeeded in the recent BWCA audit, showing their fullfillment of  the highest standards through  their  bottling procedures and customer service. In order to satisfy both the objectives of the Association and the requirements of the Government, the Bottling Plant Audit addresses the key issues which affect quality and by implication public health and safety.

Dave Holloway, Site Manager at Wenlock Spring commented : "We have a great team here at Wenlock Spring. Everyone's efforts to uphold  and exceed the standards needed for the audit helps us to consistently bottle to the highest standards."
