Dear WE Members, dear colleagues and friends,

2012. Time flies and one more year went by:

A year of international economic challenges with all its financial consequences. WE will face these challenges too, and make sure that you as members will continue to benefit from the association while keeping our budgets in balance.

A year that has seen the election of a new Execo with :

  • Alain Adler as new Chairman,
  • John Dundon and Sergey Tratsevsky as Vice Chairmen
  • Michael Barnett as Treasurer
  • Matthew Lee, from Waterlogic , Europe’s largest POU cooler company - as Pan European Member.  This is confirmation that WE is fully embracing POU as part of its activities
  • Igor Pastukh from Ukraine and Emir Koyluoglu from Turkey as Co-Opted Members.

A year that saw a record number of participants to the Aqua Awards (13 entrees in one category!) during the Watercoolers Europe Trade Fair and Convention in Istanbul. All participants deserve special mention.( see more on www.watercoolerseurope.eu )

A year of better communication between WE and all the members of Watercooler Europe

A year when WE demonstrated what it stands for:

PROTECTION – INFORMATION - MEETING

  • WE protects your interest and the industry through legal, lobbying and PR actions
  • WE is your source of information for educational, operational and quality issues
  • WE is your meeting point to share and acquire experience to achieve excellence

These are the raison d’être of WE’s existence and why YOU need WE.

As new Chairman I would like to share with you a vision, a vision whereby we would use 2013 to further build bridges between East and Western Europe and make sure that everybody feels represented in Watercoolers Europe.

This will be achieved by getting more responsible people from the Eastern National Associations to join our different committees and work together with us.

This will be achieved by communicating more and more towards the East as well as to the West of what WE is doing and what our work represents for you.

This will be achieved by convincing new and existing member countries of all the added values that WE is bringing to the table.
A lot has happened in 2012 and a lot of good is still to come with as highlight the celebration of our 20th Anniversary in Berlin on 16th and 17th October 2013.

I want to see you all at (Y) OUR exciting event in Berlin in October.
