Hydration Summer 2017

Being well-hydrated is essential for good health, brain and body function.  Remember during the summer months we need to increase our water intake.

  • Don’t wait until you feel thirsty, as by then you are already dehydrated and this can cause decreased mental and physical performance. 
  • Have regular water breaks – get up from your desk or workplace and visit the watercooler.
  • Arrange short meetings around the water cooler!
  • Monitor the colour of your urine – it should be pale yellow – if it isn’t drink some water.
  • Alternating each glass of summer beer or wine with a glass of water.
  • Remember to drink water before and during your meals.

Encourage those around you to do the same.  Cool, fresh water from a watercooler is the ideal hydration solution.
