Greiner Packaging enhancing its distribution in Germany and France
April 12, 2012
Greiner is strengthening its distribution network with new locations in Bielefeld and Wiwersheim near Strasbourg.
Greiner Packaging International with an anual sales of EUR 403 million, which is 35% of the total Greiner Group sales in 2010, is increasing the strength of its distribution network. Greiner employs 2,990 employees in Europe.
The Austrian manufacturer invests more in its European locations to increase the efficiency of their distribution. In the few first months of this year, Greiner opened two new distribution locations in Bielefeld and Wiwersheim, near Strasbourg. This has strengthened the already extensive network of Greiner Packaging International.
The operation began with some crucial appointments: In Bielefeld (Germany) Susanne Gneist – an experienced packing and distribution expert - was tasked with responsibility for marketing while, in the north-east of France, Bruno Frech, who has achieved remarkable success during his four years at Greiner Packaging, will head up the facility at Wiwersheim.
With a presence in these two areas, the company will be able to provide even faster deployment of its capabilities to customers. “In our business, being maximally customer-oriented is the bottom line. In this respect, geographical proximity, short turnaround times, and - in particular - the personal on-site contact, are crucial to success“ stated Kenneth Boldog, Head of Division K at Greiner Packaging International.
