Eden Springs completes OCS Latvian acquisition
October 26, 2012
Eden Springs, the leading workplace drinks provider, has acquired KafijasAutomati, a leading office coffee solutions (OCS) and drinks vending business serving about 450 corporate customers in Latvia. The well-established business has an annual turnover of approximately €650,000 and enjoys a market share of around 13 per cent of the OCS and vending activity in the Baltic country.
Based in the capital city of Riga, KafijasAutomati provides OCS services to names such as Honda, LG Electronics, Sony, PwC and the Latvian State University. Its acquisition by Eden, which provides total workplace drinks solutions across 15 European countries, will enable Kafijas to expand its range of services to its customer base.
This OCS acquisition is Eden's first in Latvia and supports the international group's ultimate goal to offer an appropriate total drinks solution - including coffee, tea and water - across all of its geographical markets. The KafijasAutomati deal follows hot on the heels of other acquisitions including The Café in the Netherlands, Garraways in the UK, Edelvia in Switzerland and Drinkso in France.
Raanan Zilberman, CEO of Eden Springs, comments: "We explored several potential acquisitions before identifying Kafijas as the best fit for Eden, in terms of growth potential, service ethos and culture. This acquisition is a wonderful opportunity for us to establish a solid coffee and hot beverage business segment in the region and to create a great basis for future growth."
