August 22, 2012

Eden Springs has further strengthened its position as Europe's leading home and office delivery (HOD) water provider with the acquisition of Swiss cooler company, Edelvia.

Edelvia is based in Moudon, in the canton de Vaud in Switzerland, and uniquely specialises in providing both businesses and homes all over Switzerland with high quality mineral water sourced from the Swiss Alps. The acquisition of Edelvia provides stylish, slimline cooler units that use either three or five gallon bottles, and increases Eden's market share in Switzerland by approximately 40 per cent.

Already the market leader in workplace drinks solutions, Eden services around 500,000 offices across Europe and this latest acquisition will enable the company to expand in the growing home marketplace. It also comes at a time when Eden is rolling out its portfolio of coffee solutions which, to date, has seen the company acquire four European coffee companies including Dutch-based, Thécafé, Drinkso in France, as well as Shakespeare Coffee Company and Garraways in the UK.

CEO of Eden Springs, Raanan Zilberman, comments: "This acquisition marks another important step in our long term strategy and will enable usto improve our understanding of the home market - an area which has great potential for future growth. Eldevia's experience is valuable to us as we develop our drinks offer into new markets, in terms of both service offering and new end users.

"The acquisition of Edelvia highlights the success of our water provision in Switzerland and our focus now is to build on this success as we expand our range of products, including our office coffee solutions."
