Eden Springs acquires Spanish company Todagua

Eden Springs, one of LEADERS IN THE WATERCOOLER INDUSTRY, has acquired the Spanish water cooler company, Todagua, in a move to strengthen the company’s position in south west Europe.

The  mergers of the two companies is expected to be completed by autumn 2012. The move will improve Eden’s efficiency in Spain since both companies already share suppliers and have warehouses in neighbouring areas. It will also enable the company to increase its revenue in the country by nearly €2m.

Established in 2002, Todagua operates from its headquarters in Madrid and serves more than 4,000 offices with both HOD water and coffee, which is provided in partnership with coffee company, illy coffee. The Spanish company, which supplies 5 gallon bottles for water coolers gets its water from the  Orotana and Monsalvo Springs.

In 2010, Eden Springs Spain had a turnover of 17,03M€, while Todagua’s was 1,97 M€.

Chief executive officer at Eden Springs, Raanan Zilberman, stated: “This integration provides real opportunity to further improve our renowned water and coffee service to workplaces and we’re excited about our future operations in Spain. There has been great cooperation between the management teams of both Eden and Todagua to ensure the success of our latest acquisition.”

Eden also recently announced that it had acquired Dutch coffee service company, Thécafé, as a further step in its long-term strategy to roll out a total coffee and water service across all of its 16 European markets.
