Acquajet on target to increase turnover
November 24, 2011
ACQUAJET, the Spanish company, which was founded eleven years ago and which now boasts more than 70,000 customers in Spain and Portugal, expects to end 2011 with an increase of 5% over 2010 turnover of 24 million Euro.
ACQUAJET’S target would seem to confirm not only the company’s Iberian market leadership in the distribution and marketing of refrigerators, water fountains and water filtration, but also the growth of their business.
Israel Miranda, CEO ACQUAJET, states: "We are obviously delighted at having created such a successful company, but there are things that make us even more proud, such as meeting our customers' needs, which is our standard policy."
As to business performance, Miranda notes: "Over the last few years, we have enjoyed a period of moderate growth, which is a success in this current economic climate. It is obvious that our economy is in a difficult situation: everyone can see a decline in the number of Spanish companies, as well as in the number of employees in the remaining ones.”
“With fewer employees,” he continued, “there's obviously less water being consumed, but, on the other hand, there has been improved corporate awareness of the importance of employees remaining well hydrated during the working day."
With these factors in mind, ACQUAJET is now aiming —in the short to medium term— to consolidate the domestic, household market: the cornerstone in the development of bottled water retailing and marketing.
"Many families consume mineral water at home,” explains Miranda, ‘”and they have to buy and transport it on a weekly basis. ACQUAJET has now started to deliver the water to them.”
“No one buys gas bottles at gas stations every week; we expect them to be delivered to our homes and it is the same thing with water,” he continues. “We are currently the only company that offers mineral water with free delivery to Spanish homes."
Always open to new acquisitions, ACQUAJET is involved in more than a dozen projects, which offer added value to customers in the form of different services that help to save time and create customer loyalty. The company also focuses on corporate social responsibility, an important area of activity for the company and one which has been part of the ACQUAJET identity since its inception. This includes collaboration with the Food Bank, the Autism Association and Civil Protection, among others.
