What do you think delegates will learn from visiting the WE event in Rome?

  • John Dundon

We know time is short for everyone so attending the Rome event has to have a benefit …. networking, innovation, new ideas, new concepts, creative ways of doing things, new technology will all make this a very worthwhile conference.

Describe the current watercooler market in Europe and where you think it is going?

  • John Dundon

As you may already know, the UK experienced growth in its combined BW & POU business of 8% in 2014 compared with 2013.
It is my experience that whatever happens in the UK usually follows in Europe. This, combined with the record-breaking summer temperatures experienced throughout Europe leads me to be highly optimistic about the current market and its future growth potential.

  • WE

What are you looking forward to most about your stay in Rome?

  • John Dundon

Networking with friends and colleagues, understanding the latest market trends to ensure that our business is up-to-date with the latest developments in a competitive environment.

  • John Dundon

The workshops and presentations are being given by people with practical, technical and real hands-on experience of the watercooler industry and the challenges and opportunities presented. This is a unique chance to gain an invaluable insight from some of the industry’s most talented people.

How many exhibitors are there at the Fair on the Friday – are there any new companies?

  • John Dundon

We have over 30 different companies represented at the Fair. One of the most pleasing aspects of this year’s Fair is the number of first time exhibitors from across the globe. We have companies from the USA, Asia and Africa, as well as both familiar and new faces from Europe. We also have several companies coming back to exhibit with us after several years away. This is testimony to the effectiveness of our event to attract the key decision makers and the confidence in the future growth of our industry.

What differences are there this year to the Aqua Awards?

  • John Dundon

The Aqua Awards have taken on a whole new exciting, modern concept with continuous rolling presentations on plasma screens throughout the event, a high-tech and innovative on-line voting system available to all and a panel of judges from each of the National Associations to ensure that the most creative, innovative and successful entries are selected by the broader membership.

How do you see the future of WE?

  • John Dundon

We have a bright future ahead of us as we continue to see the incorporation of both Bottled Water & POU hydration solutions into the business model of all our National Association members. These same Members are exploring other opportunities to expand the scope and range of their business by venturing into areas such as coffee. These exciting possibilities make up the theme of our event “Exploring New Frontiers”. To find out more you’ll just have to make the trip to Rome to see it all for yourself!
